I'm so thrilled to oversee The Sm[ART] Commons Blog as the new Creative Content Curator this spring. Under this role, I will lead the blog in an exciting new direction!
The Sm[ART] Commons blog has, and will always remain a resource for students to access up-to-date information about happenings in the art world, on and around the MCLA Campus. But this Spring I will incorporate more visual components to engage with you all more personally.
There will be new collections featuring faculty voices, photo essays on visiting artists, and demos documenting the creative process/ flow state across the arts. Content will be posted each Friday, showcasing a variety of artists in visual art, writing, music production, and more! If you're an artist, you can be featured too, no idea is too big or small.
I hope that this direction will inspire more students and faculty to get involved with the blog and inspire ideas for future collaborations and mini-series!
